Saying good-bye to Whitney

The world will say good - bye to Whitney Houston tomorrow at 12 pm ET. The family obviously distraught by her death had to make many hard decisions. Conceding that the public has a void because of her death, the family decided to permit 1 camera inside Newark’s New Hope Baptist Church. The funeral will be by invitation only as the church reportedly seats just 300; however, the funeral will be streaming live on line. The funeral will be viewable at livestream.com

Who is J.J. Price
Born Garth Brian Oxner, I decided to use the pen name
J.J. Price. A change was necessary, not as I am ashamed of my name or reputation, but my given names do not scream music critic. The name J.J. Price is a variation of the name James Price Johnson, a talented African/American jazz composer/performer, who lived from 1894 through 1955.

Music has always been a huge influence on my life, or
at least ever since I can remember. While I did not exhibit any musical talent ‘till I reached my 20’s, music was always a major part. Currently, I am a very armature musician who realizes that my desire to go pro will never happen; however, I
have the ability to recognize good talent, research current activities in the music world, then relay it clearly and concisely to my readership.

Yes, I have limited talent as a musician, but I have
strong skills and abilities in communication and technology. Using these abilities, my desire and passion is to help young and/or unsigned artists, who have the talent and the drive, reach their dreams and goals.
